Technician for the Maintenance Team at the Assistive Technology Center in Uddevalla

Job Description

With your technical skills and problem-solving ability, you will perform functional checks, installations, and maintenance of manual assistive devices. Your tasks include:

• technical advice during assembly
• repair and adaptation of manual assistive devices such as walkers, wheelchairs, and lifts
• documentation and other administration as a natural part of the assignment
• work is often carried out in the field or in the workshop in collaboration with customers, patients, and colleagues.

To succeed in the role of technician, you need to:

• have a good attitude and be service-oriented
• work well with others
• enjoy adapting to changing situations
• be responsible and meticulous to ensure quality and high safety

You have a completed upper secondary education and work experience that has provided you with technical knowledge in relevant areas for the position. You enjoy meeting new people and have the ability to be empathetic and flexible. You communicate fluently in Swedish, both spoken and written, and have good computer skills and experience working with various IT systems. Since the position involves walking and standing for large parts of the workday, it is important that you have good physical ability and an ergonomic working method. You have a B driver's license (manual transmission) and good driving experience.

Other

On-call duty is included in the position. A background check from the police will be relevant for the final candidate. Questions about the position are handled by Tanja Karlsson, unit manager of the Assistive Technology Center.
